Today, I am talking about something
that I’m sure many of you love
and might even have at home:

Teddy Bears!

These cuddly companions
have been around for a loooooong time,
and there’s sooooooo much to learn about them.

Let’s start with their history.

Some time ago,
there was a President in America named
Theodore Roosevelt,
but people called him Teddy for short.

Once, while he was on a hunting trip,
some people caught a little bear and tied it up.
When Teddy saw this,
he felt sad for the bear
and didn’t want to hurt it.

He thought it wouldn’t be fair to hurt it.
Someone made a cartoon about this,
and a toy maker
created a soft stuffed bear toy
to remember the kind President.

He named it “Teddy’s Bear,”
and that’s how the Teddy Bear got its name!

People loved it!!
and now Teddy Bears are famous
and loved
all over the world!

Now, let’s talk about the benefits of having a teddy bear.

Teddy bears can be wonderful friends.
They are always there to listen to your secrets,
cuddle up with you when you’re feeling sad,
and even join you on exciting adventures!

They provide comfort
and a sense of security,
especially when you’re going to bed at night time.

Many children
find it easier to face new situations
or challenges
when they have their trusty teddy bear by their side.

Did you know
that Teddy bears come in all shapes and sizes?

Some are big and huggable,
while others are small
and fit right in your pocket.

There are even teddy bears that talk or play music!

They can be made from different materials
like soft-fabric,
cotton,
or even recycled materials,
which is great for the environment.

Now, here are some fun teddy bear facts
Did you know that the largest Teddy Bear ever made was over 17 meters tall! That’s taller than a five-story building!

In 1984, the world’s oldest teddy bear was found. It was over 100 years old and still in good condition!

Some famous teddy bears from movies and stories include Winnie the Pooh and Paddington Bear.

Also, did you know that Teddy bears have gone to space too! On some space missions, astronauts brought teddy bears along to keep them company in zero gravity.

Grown ups love teddy bears too!

Boys and girls, how many of you love Teddy Bears?

Technically,
guinea pigs are not bears,

so they’re my little live teddy bears!
